So I got this new monitor
« on: August 23, 2018, 12:01:19 pm »

Actually it is older model, NEC Multisync from 2013, with CCFL but supposedly one of the most expensive models at the time. The 27" QHD model, 2560x1440.   It came with that color calibrating tool, neat.

The colors are very vibrant. I was going to get a 4K model since they are dirt cheap these days but I wasn't sure if my contract-issued cheapo laptop can drive 4K resolutions, no dedicated video card.  It drives QHD and I am happy with that.

The only downside is, CCFL backlit monitors consume twice as much power as the latest greatest LED-backlit monitors. Still, 200 bucks is cheap.
Brawndo. It's got what plants crave.
