Quote of the Day thread (quotes only - comment in new thread)
« on: September 24, 2011, 06:25:53 am »
I am introducing a Quote of the Day thread as an experiment.

The idea is simple. Post a memorable quote that you find interesting or provocative to this thread. Two or more quotes in the same day are fine.

Rules:

1) To keep it clean, NO COMMENTARY in this thread. Start a new thread with commentary on any quote that you want to comment on.

2) Title each new post with as terse a title as possible. A single word or a phrase of up to (say) five words without giving away the quote.

Change and Irrelevance

I don't know what the source material is, but I found this quote on several blogs today. It is particularly true for IT.

If you don’t like change, you’re going to like irrelevance even less.

How to be wise

It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite.

But Jesus said that Christians would always be a minority. True Christianity won't be cool. And in our search to be loved by the world, I think we lose something. We lose authenticity.

is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.   It is a weapon
our adversaries in today's world do not have.
