Thanks for the link, JoFrance. It's interesting to hear the explanation direct from the source, rather than as interpreted by a journalist. Cheers.

After reading the chairman's message I'm leaning heavily against NN. The non-net-neutral internet was just fine for most of the history of the public internet.

All commercial entities profited heavily from the open internet from the mid 1990s to a few years ago. I don't see a power grab just for the sake of extorting end users. It would be contrary to the model that everyone has made money off of so far.

And, national sovereignty.

If you think about it, Net Neutrality is already dead. We have a handful of companies that control the entire Internet. Witness Google and ISP's censoring and blocking web sites they don't like. I am not just talking about neo-Nazi web sites, they are already censoring and blocking anything they don't like.

Its mostly right wing and its for your own good. The right wing is EVIL. Oh did we mention that they were NAZIS!. You should not be exposed to those repulsive right wing ideas. You should think what we want you to think.

Frankly I think the ISP's are already too big and concentrated. They should break them up and force them to compete. Leave them and tell them to go at it. If you go bankrupt tough nuggies. Thats capitalism.
