RedHat the Enterprise edition RHEL
« on: October 06, 2018, 05:25:17 am »

I will try to get some from my gig... the CD.  I want to run an identical copy of what's in my environment.
If I am not successful, the closest Linux to the Redhat Enterprise seems to be  CentOS as it's based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux so that's what  will be installed. I will probably dd it to a clone drive so I have some redundancy, almost a mirror.

My Win10 crash really aggravated me, I got the networking resolved but there is just no reason at all I should be spending one nanosecond on this nonsense, fixing MS issues.

You could learn the ins and outs of the DoD secure version:  https://iase.disa.mil/stigs/os/unix-linux/Pages/red-hat.aspx.   Might help your resume.

Be Prepared.

yes, thanks for the link. That's what they have, a heavily stig'ed version with the iptables firewall.
